Willow-lined clearing. Many of the stars are disguised behind looming clouds, tracing their slow paths across the sphere of the heavens. Long branches of yellow-green droop morosely to the forest floor, where a family of large willows encircles a low mound. Looking strangely like a grieving family beside the grave of a loved one, the trees bend inwards, their forlorn silhouettes evoking a sense of deep sorrow. The mound itself is covered thickly with grass, and the leaves gathered around its base sprout small brown mushrooms. Infusing the air with the dual qualities of life and death is the distinct, loamy scent of earth and a feeling of quiet serenity. A small Gaian plinth stands here in harmony with nature. A ladder of long, soft leaves comprises a wispy Weaver's Fern along the ground. A massive dire wolf looms, black fur almost swallowing the light. A tiny goblin which has been granted majestic wings and downy feathers preens here. A rune-carved suit of Vashnari full plate has been abandoned here. You see a single exit leading southwest. Laying out a rune-carved suit of Vashnari full plate on the ground, Kresslack takes a batch of dried inks and carefully prepares them with water, mixing them thoroughly with a carved stick. Walking quietly around the clearing, Kresslack sweeps away fallen leaves, picking up fallen branches as he clears a large area around a rune-carved suit of Vashnari full plate. Selecting a straight branch, Kresslack carefully trims it to a point with a knife, nodding his satisfaction afterwards. Kresslack walks slowly around a rune-carved suit of Vashnari full plate, drawing a large circle in the dirt as he goes. Walking to the northern part of the circle, Kresslack squats down and carefully sketches the image of a noble elk just inside the circle. Kresslack moves to the western part of the circle before squatting down and sketching the image of a mighty oak just inside the circle. Moving to the southern part of the circle, Kresslack squats down to carefully sketch the image of a rampant lion just inside the circle. Kresslack finally moves to the east most part of the circle, squatting down to sketch the image of a lightening bolt just inside the circle. Studying the runic circle briefly, Kresslack nods slowly before stepping inside, kneeling down over a rune-carved suit of Vashnari full plate with a light grunt. Kresslack takes a selection of inks and begins to meticulously sketch a set of runs upon the front of a rune-carved suit of Vashnari full plate. Chewing languidly on a Zanzibaar Select cigar, Kresslack takes a large bladed knife from his belt, drawing it over the palm of his hand with a grunt before reaching out to squeeze his fist over a rune-carved suit of Vashnari full plate, watching as blood drips down upon it. Kresslack slams the knife into the ground next to him, pausing to take a deep breath and flick the ash from a Zanzibaar Select cigar. Reverently draping a rune-carved suit of Vashnari full plate across the ground, you trace a finger over the runes of protection sketched with golden clarity upon its surface. Seizing a handful of soil, you slowly scatter it across the armour, binding it between earth and earth. Brushing the dirt from your armour, you see that the rune of the chain has shifted to embrace that of the shield, each one yet bearing a fading amber glow. A set of mystical-looking runes pop from the surface to draw the eye of would-be admirers. The lessons of the harsh Vashnar Mountains have gone into forging this dependable full plate, ensuring it can survive even in the spine of Sapience. Emanating a faint, golden glow, the symbol of a shield surrounded by a chain marks the surface of this runic armour. Taking a bit of water and clean cloth, Kresslack rinses the cut on his hand, carefully wrapping it before picking up a rune-carved suit of Vashnari full plate and slowly donning it. Kresslack pushes himself to his feet with a grunt, collecting his knife and materials to clean them and pack them away. Walking around the runic circle, Kresslack brushes the markings clear with his foot as he leaves, looking back to nod one as he leaves the clearing nearly as he found it.
